International Import Certificates (IIC's) are not controlled by the BCC, therefore we have no authority to authorise Chambers to issue these documents. Many years ago a small group of Chambers were authorise separately by DBT to issue these documents.
As far as we are aware the UK Government no longer recognises these documnents and does not require them to be completed. However, a number of countries mainly European still require this document to export the goods out of their country. The goods in question are nearly always firearms of some sort.
A small number still issue these documents such as Business West, Thames Valley Chamber and West and North Yorkshire Chamber which how some guidance online here: https://www.chamber-international.com/importing-chamber-international/international-import-certificates-/
If you are asked to issue an International Import Certificate then I suggest contacting another Chamber to see if they can help.
